Lindsey Wuisan is the founder of Circular Economy Portugal, an NGO which aims to accelerate the transition to a circular economy in Portugal, focusing on local projects in the urban environment.
After obtaining her Master degree in Environmental Sciences, Lindsey Wuisan worked at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment in the Netherlands as a policymaker on a wide range of sustainability issues such as circular economy, waste prevention, biobased economy and climate change. During that time, she was also seconded as a national expert at DG Environment of the European Commission to develop European policy on sustainable food.
Now, Lindsey Wuisan resides in Lisboa where she contributes to a society without waste, based on sustainable production and consumption. This also includes Smart Cities that are resource-efficient from an urban metabolism perspective.
