Noa Jansma is a Dutch Instagram personality who has gone viral after sharing selfies of herself with men who catcall her on the street on the internet.
Born and raised in the Netherlands, she currently lives in the city of Amsterdam where she is a student.
She is currently a student at the Design Academy Eindhoven.
After creating an Instagram account to share the selfies she takes with her catcallers whenever she goes out to a public place, she has earned more than 264k followers in less than 2 months.
On August 29th, 2017, she started a project in which every time that she gets harassed or catcalled by a man on the street, she asks the offender(s) if they would like to be in a selfie with her that she then posts on her Instagram account. The IG
Jansma has claimed that a number of the men follow her for a long time. One of the men has even asked if she would like to get in his car. Others make demands and call her names like “Baby”.
In several interviews with Dutch outlets who have covered the story, Jansma says that sexual objectification of women is a “global phenomenon,” and though her project is finished, she plans to continue her account.
