Selma Guerreiro is a researcher in hydrology and climate change at Newcastle University (UK). She has a MEng in environmental engineering and worked as a hydrology consultant for 8 years. She moved to academia in 2010 and has since worked on the impact of climate change on droughts, heat-waves and floods. Dr Guerreiro has worked on future water resources in shared river basins between Portugal and Spain as well as future changes in heat-waves droughts and floods for every European city.
